About
In the middle of central Skellefteå stands Sara kulturhus, a climate-smart house with cultural experiences for both young and old. Sara is Skellefteå's new meeting place for concerts, performances, meetings, exhibitions, events and congresses. The house is 75 meters high, and thus the 4th tallest wooden building in the world. Here, several activities gather under the same roof. Such as art, music, theater and library.
Sara kulturhus is named after Sara Lidman, one of the Skellefteå region’s many famous authors. She has inspired us to create a cultural centre characterised by courage and a desire to embrace innovation.
Sara kulturhus offers 6 stages with different capacities that can accommodate between 50 - 1500 visitors.
Our largest stage, Scen 1, can offer 1200 seated and 1500 standing guests. All stages in the house are flexible and adaptable to be able to offer good accessibility and great variety in music concerts, theater and dance performances.

Tickets for all our events are sold online via www.sarakulturhus.se with link to the organizer's official booking page. Tickets for most of our events can also be purchased at Skellefteå Tourist Center, Trädgårdsgatan 7, tel. +46 910-45 25 10.
Scen 1 has 6 wheelchair seats at row 22: seat 710, 711, 712 (B2) and seat 719, 720, 721 (A2).
All wheelchair spaces are most easily accessed via the building's northern entrance and elevator at stairwell B.
Scen 2 has 2 wheelchair seats, at the far end of each side of row 1.
The wheelchair spaces are most easily accessed via the building's northern entrance and the entrance to Scen 2.
Companions are included in the ticket for a wheelchair space. Please note that companions sit on regular chairs diagonally behind the wheelchair space.Please respect that wheelchair spaces are intended for wheelchair users only.In case of violation, the ticket will be declared invalid on the spot and entry to the event will be denied. Tickets are not repurchased in the event of incorrect purchase.
Due to the Swedish Public Health Agency's recommendations regarding high volume, there is a general age limit of 13 years at our concerts. As organizers, we are obliged to follow this according to the Environmental Administration. The age limit of 13 years also applies in the company of a parent.
An ID card, driver's license or passport serves as proof of your age. It is also possible to print out an identity card on the Swedish Tax Agency's website and bring it to us.If you do not have a valid ID document, our guards have the right to deny you entry to our concerts.
Our hosts will help you in the house. Feel free to contact one of them if you have questions about anything, want to give us tips or leave your comments.
On the entrance floor is Paolo´s(Opens in new tab) and restaurant. On floor 4 you will find the a la carte restaurant Mandel.(Opens in new tab) Up on the 19th floor is restaurant Miss Voon(Opens in new tab).
Food and drink are forbidden to consume in all our stages. Exceptions are made on the Trappscenen at events where food and drink are part of the experience.
Your packed lunch is not allowed to eat inside the house.
In the places in the house where there are toilets, you will also find accessible toilets.
At the toilets next to Trappscenen there is a toilet with changing table. This toilet is also accessible.
Assistance dogs are the only dogs allowed at Sara kulturhus.
Sara kulturhus is a non-smoking house which also includes all our terraces and the area adjacent to our entrances. This also applies to e-cigarettes.
Sara kulturhus is cash-free. Instead of cash, you use a debit or credit card with us.
