Welcome to SON – the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra! We provide weekly concerts throughout the season. Our home stage is
the De Geer Concert Hall, in the heart of the beautiful industrial landscape in the city of Norrköping, Sweden. The
orchestra regularly visits other concert halls in the county and the country, and has toured the world as far as China and Japan.
SON was founded in 1912 and currently consists of 80 musicians. The repertoire is wide, with an emphasis on the great Romantics, from Beethoven to Mahler. The orchestra works with conductors and soloists from around the world. SON also has an extensive program for children and youth, including several El Sistema projects.
