About Waldner Cup
The Waldner Cup is much like the Ryder Cup in golf - where the best players from Asia, led by one of the greatest players of all time, Ma Long, meet the best from team World, led by the Swedish legend, Jan-Ove Waldner. This will be a world´s first and intense table tennis match up to see who will be the greatest of all time.
Inspired by the Ping Pong diplomacy, our theme is that sport is dialogue. Through the Waldner Cup we aim to gather the world around the table for dialog. The Waldner Cup has four event hybrids; Sports with table tennis and esports, Business summit - the green and blue economy and future investments to reach climate goals, Culture represented by a Friendship concert and award show, and Waldner Movement where Waldner gives back to the society through the The Swedish Crown Princess Couple's Foundation.
