Brittiska Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, mer känd som Sting, är en världsberömd musiker, kompositör, låtskrivare, författare och aktivist. Sting föddes i Newcastle i England innan han flyttade till London 1977 för att bilda The Police med Stewart Copeland och Andy Summers. Bandet släppte fem studioalbum, belönades med sex GRAMMY Awards®, två Brits och togs in i The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2003.

Sting startade sin musikkarriär som basist och sångare i rockbandet the Police som skapade några av våra största låtar än idag; "Roxanne", ”Every Breath You Take” och ”Message in a Bottle”.

Bandet bildades 1977 men bara sju år senare gick medlemmarna skilda vägar och Sting fortsatte som soloartist. Han har sedan dess släppt låtar som ”Englishman in New York”. ”Fields of Gold” och ”Shape of my heart” och även arbetat mycket med miljö- och människorättsfrågor.

Sting har under sin otroliga karriär sålt närmare 100 miljoner album totalt med The Police och som soloartist. Under 2019 hedrades Sting vid BMI Pop Awards för sin bestående hit-singel "Every Breath You Take", som har blivit den mest spelade låten, med 15 miljoner radiostreams från BMI:s katalog med över 14 miljoner musikaliska verk.
